纽约庆猴年：帝国大厦红，盛大焰火表演

美国纽约曼哈顿区，美东时间星期六晚间，进行了庆祝中国农历新年活动，纽约「哈德逊河」上空，进行了烟火表演。此外，纽约帝国大厦的顶部，同时亮起红色与金色灯光，增添喜气。

纽约大都会艺术博物馆，星期六也举行了庆祝农历新年活动，现场有舞狮与彩带舞等表演。而纽约时报广场附近，也有快闪表演，上百人戴上猴子面具与服饰，大跳猴舞。

纽约学校放农历年假 华裔家长有人乐有人愁

纽约市公立学校星期一，农历新年放假。华裔孩子可以和家人欢度春节，不过，有的家长乐，有些家长却发愁。因为，家长上班，孩子放假在家，没人照顾。

　　纽约市长白斯豪去年宣布，公立学校今年开始，每年农历大年初一放假一天，一千一百万学生可以多放一天假。白斯豪说，农历年是亚裔社区的重要文化遗产，很荣幸纽约学校能够庆祝这项文化遗产。

　　春节是穆斯林宰牲节和开斋节以後，纽约市再增加的一个公立学校假日。

　　纽约市是全美公立学校最多的大城市。旧金山则是美国第一个把农历年定为学校假期的城市。纽约有七万五千多名亚裔学生，大部分都过农历新年，以往，学生都得请假过年。

The New York City Lunar New Year 2016 “Year of the Monkey Celebration,” is a five-day-long festival marking the lunar new year holiday.

The official year changes from the Year of the Sheep to the Year of the Monkey and runs from Monday February 8 until January 27th 2017



Children born in The Year of the Monkey are supposed to be mischievous, clever and playful - much like monkeys themselves
