Yep, China is now facing the same problem as the West has been dealing with- technology transfer and cheap labor. China can not compete with these countries in term of labor cost. And when you produce your products in those countries, you need to transfer technology for production control. |
Chinese products still very competitive in pricing because of the efficiency of their factory outputs and their near complete supply chains. 10 workers in a Chinese factory may able to produce 20 times more finished products than in a 100 Indian workers in India while the pricing is still lower than the India made products. labor costs is only one of the factors that determine the final costs/pricing of merchandises. |
Well this is an interesting twist for Turkiye. Turkiye has been cozying up to China and away from the West but then Beijing drops this suggestion in your punch bowl. This happens when dealing with an authoritarian government on a quest for monopolies. Turkiye's natural trading partner should be Europe but Erdogan will create plenty of human rights issues to mess that up. |
